February 2010 – Week 7 A New Chapter
Welcome to our new redesigned Maralisha website. It is now over 12 months since we launched
our online boutique and we would like to thank all our customers for making it
such an enjoyable journey so far.
And we have not stood still. We have been travelling to meet designers and manufacturers with the aim
of increasing the choice of lingerie and accessories available, all with the
guarantee of gorgeousness that has come to be our trademark. So we are happy to announce that we welcome a
number of ready-made and couture lingerie houses to our fold - including Ayten
Gasson, Sally Jones, Velda Lauder and Liliana Casanova - to ensure that we are showcasing
probably the most unique range of intimate garments available online today.
We have also made some changes to the way you can browse our
site, to enable you to find our products with greater ease and offer more
buying advice at the point you make your purchase - so you can be sure your
purchase is the right choice for you!
But don’t worry; we have kept things simple and uncluttered –
just the way you like it - to enable the garments to shine, and maintained the
colour palette and branding that has received so many positive comments.
So that’s it, fabulous underwear, beautifully displayed and
easy to buy. We hope you like it and
enjoy wearing our designs - after all Maralisha is For the Love of Lingerie!
February 2010 - Week 9 Ayten Gasson - Vintage Meets Modern
We thought we would give you a little more detals on one of our new designers, Ayten Gasson and her range of ultra feminine silk and lace garments.
What we like about his London-based designer is that she continues to utilise the finest lace in her latest range, once again going back to the roots of the British fashion industry to create an amazingly sensual vintage-inspired new collection.
Currently in her 5th year, Ayten has launched her Spring Summer
2010 collection using the finest and most delicate trims, many sourced locally
from the old lace mills in Nottingham, UK and dating back over 30 years. Specifically
using Leavers Lace, one of the oldest production technologies. “Nottingham lace is renowned for its high
quality and beauty with Leavers lace being the most exceptional. Sadly with the
demand for this lace falling it is no longer produced in high quantities. This
is why I am constantly sourcing vintage lace to create something unique”, Ayten
explains.
Shapes for this season include the Ayten Gasson signature soft bralets, vintage inspired babydoll and a
classic full knicker. Matching eyemasks complete each range,
All pieces from the collection are made in-house by the designer and her small team using traditional sewing methods, assuring each piece is made with loving care
and is of the highest quality.
As well as here at Maralisha, the current collection is sold in some the most exclusive boutiques in the world such as Bordello in London, Oh Baby in America, and Boudoir Intimates
in Australia.
March 2010 - Week 11 Simply Red - Corsets That Is!
There's nothing better than bagging some gorgeous lingerie at a great sale price. Well we have got together with celebrity corset maker Velda Lauder to offer a 20% reduction on her fabulous range of red corsets until 30 March 2010.
Worn by well known names such as Charlotte Church, The Sugarbabes and Nigella Lawson, these totally yummy garments are designed to create extra curves, the shape drawing the eye by clever use of stunning materials (such a steel boning and lacing to the back) and excellent fit.
